Photoshop quit on my two week old 16' MacBook pro

No idea why this would happen. My macbook pro is a $3500 bad boy. Is this Adobe related or laptop?

copy and paste is what sent it over the edge.. but I was doing many things
to a file - filters, shapes, paths, grouping into a folder, copying
folders, image adjustments, i.e., color, vibrancy, black and white, levels,
etc.

Saved the file twice, copy / pasted then pshop crashed.
