Photoshop suddenly lagging to the point nothing moves...

Hi all 🙂

I've been using Photoshop for quite some time. My hardware hasn't changed. The way I use Photoshop hasn't chnaged. But for the last two days Photoshop has been running into some issues.

- After around 10 minutes of using Photoshop, I begin to get brush lag, then it turns into lag when moving boxes, adding text, editing layers etc

- Then I can nolonger move an object unless I restart Photoshop

I have reset cache data, cleared history, set my perfomance lower (even though there's been no isses before with my PC running at higher performance levels - Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor (16 CPUs), ~3.7GHz - Memory: 16384MB RAM)

As said, nothing has changed at all, not my hardware or how I use Photoshop, yet the issue has developed over the last two days.

Any ideas?

I've been having this issue too, but it seems to have affected all of my CC apps. Each one seems to be broken in a different way.

Have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences, you may need to backup your settings before hand

Can you post your Photoshop system info, in Photoshop go to Help > System Info and hit the copy button and paste the entire thing into this thread, when replying using the blue reply icon on your first post

System info looks fine, although you could try updating your GPU driver from here

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

Also try setting the drawing mode to Advanced and restarting PS

If that doesn't help try using the Adobe cleaner tool
