Photoshop thumbnail appears as logo

For every Photoshop file, the thumbnail appears to be the Photoshop logo, unlike all the other Adobe products, e.g. Illustrator.

This just recently happened. A week ago, it had the normal thumbnail.

Here's a photo:

(Photoshop CC 2018)

I've already tried reinstalling, and reinstalling without user preferences. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the additional information, could you please let us know how many versions of Photoshop are installed on your computer?

Also, could you please try using the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool and do a clean installation of Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

Found the solution-

Once you reinstall, you must right-click on any .PSD file and open 'Properties.' There, although it is already preset to open with Adobe Photoshop CC 2018, click 'Change...' and reselect Photoshop. Press 'OK,' and the thumbnail will either immediately, or after a Desktop refresh, switch to the intended CC 2018 thumbnail image.

Thanks for taking the time to help, and I hope this solution works for anyone else with this problem (I have terrible OCD, so it's a great relief to have found the solution).

Hi KravenConcepts,

I believe you're working on windows, windows operating system does not natively render PSD thumbnails. You need a third party software for that, free or paid. This thread should list the options. Viewing PSD thumbnails...

No, that's not what I'm looking for. The Adobe CC 2018 files have this new look to them:

All my Adobe products have this new rounded thumbnail logo, except for Photoshop.
