Your video has no audio to explain what your problem is. It to fast to follow and it seems you try to paint on smart object and shapes layers and have to rasterize the layers before you can that not new. What has changed the you do not like?

Video is just to show what is the problem - i was thinking that it was quite obivious what I am after here.

Basically the way how you need to rasterize layer has changed:
Old way was simple and straight forward - you choose the layer what you want to rasterize and just click on the canvas while eraser or brush is active. Then photoshop just asked if i want to rasterize the element and i just pressed enter - easy:
Capture.JPG

Now in the new photoshop you need to make extra click and go in the menu to rasterize the element (smart object, vector element etc). Because if you click on the canvas while the brush or eraser is selected, it only displays error message:

Capture_new.JPG

So you need to go extra in layer properties and rasterize the layer:

I hope I made it clear what I am after here 🙂 I just don't understand why they changed the behaviour thats all.
I know that I can make a shortcut for quick rasterize layer (and i guess i will do it now), but I find it weird that photoshop currently dislays an error message instead of offering a real option what I may be after.

Yeah it seems adobe has a thing lately for making users do more clicking to get things done.

You could ask over here where more adobe staff hangout:
