Photoshop V21.0.2 Menus greyed out

Hi

I have seen so many other posts regarding the menu bar being greyed out and unreadable, but none of the solutions offered that I have seen have worked for me. This has only started since updating to V21.0.2, the previous CC2019 install worked fine, but not on this update.

I don't use Lightroom, so the known issue with PS & LR doesn't apply either.

It's making using PS very difficult and am keen for suggestions please

When you say greyed out and unreadable are you still able to click on the menu's to open them up, you mention other solutions, what exactly have you tried so far to save us repeating what you have done already, also what operating system are you using

Yes, I can use the 'Alt F', 'Alt E' etc keyboard commands to access the menus and if i click randomly with the mouse on the window header then I can get a menu to drop down, it's just that the menu title is not visible.

I'm on Windows 10 and I have tried the preferences>General>Reset Preferences on Quit method, I tried deselecting the Auto Show Home Screen (though isn't this to do with the Lightroom issue), I tried both enabling and disabling the Use Legacy New Document interface and finally, I did once see something about a graphics driver, but I can't find that again to tell you what it was.

Sounds like it could be an issue with your GPU driver, have you tried updating that from the manufacturers website, it may help if you could post your Photoshop system info, in Photoshop go to Help > System Info, hit the copy button and paste that into this thread

You can use this tool from AMD to install the latest driver

What a superstar, thanks Ged, even though I regularly use 'update driver' in device manager, the installer on AMD's site installed new drivers altogeether and hey presto, I have a menu!!

Huge thanks Ged, that's saved me a lot of frustration and heartache.
