Photoshop V22.3 - errors loading

I have been having issues with Photoshop v22.3 ever since its release. The issues are:

 

a) it take 3-4 minutes to load Photoshop and the issue seems to be mainly with the preference file, although it will, intermittently, apppear to be the brushes file. The Photoshop load will sit loading one of these files for minutes. Photoshop will eventually open and look OK      BUT

b) when I open an image, the image opens, looks OK. However, the message "could not complete your request due to a program error" and all comes to a halt.

 

To bypass this issue I have reverted to the lastest version of Photoshop v21 which works fine and loads in < 10 seconds.

 

I'm running a fully updated version of Win 10 Professional.

 

Help from anyone would be appreciated.

Hi, new Photoshop has some bugs yet which are in notice of Adobe so it is better to use an older version for stable work...regards

Es posible que con mi respuesta no ayude a tu problema, pero sí empuje a la solución.

 

Disculpas por el idioma, pero el inglés no es mi fuerte.

 

Llevo desde la nueva versión (22.3.0) con un error continuo en Photoshop.

 

Solo con abrir un archivo, el programa muestra: “No se ha podido cumplir porque ha habido un error de programa” (en mi caso no tarda en abrir los archivos).

 

Pulsando OK, el error desaparece de pantalla, pero la mitad o más de las funciones de los menús ya están, y continúan después, deshabilitadas.

 

Este error se produce siempre, no unas veces sí y otras no.

 

En otras ocasiones da una Alerta de secuencia de comandos, error general de Photoshop…

 

He enviado alguno de los errores a Photoshop, sin éxito por el momento.

Utilizo:

Windows 10 Home actualizado (20H2).

Procesador: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X, 12-Core Processor, 3.50 GHz.

Tarjeta Gráfica PNY nVidia Quadro P4000 8GB.

64 GB RAM.

Sistema operativo y Photoshop en SSD 1TB.

 

En mi opinión no debería tener ningún problema con esta configuración.

Al intentar acceder a Información del sistema desde Photoshop da error y nunca termina en la recopilación de información del sistema.

 

Si se quiere ver el Rendimiento desde Photoshop, no se puede abrir o da error:

- Desde Edición > Preferencias > Abrir pestaña Rendimiento da error.

- Abriendo Preferencias y Eligiendo Rendimiento no se abre.

Mi solución temporal, como más arriba lambiloon sugiere, ha sido desinstalar la v.22.3.0 (guardando mis preferencias) y reinstalar la v.22.2.0 (desde Adobe Creative Cloud). Solo con eso el programa ha vuelto a la normalidad. Insisto, la v.22.3.0 no funciona, la v.22.2.0 sí.

 

Esperemos que Adobe se implique y se dé prisa en solventar los problemas que generan nuevas versiones de software.

Gracias por tu correo electrónico. Estoy escribiendo esto en inglés y dejo que Google lo traduzca al español.

 

Siguiendo el consejo, eliminé todo el archivo de configuración de Photoshop v22.3, reinicié Photoshop y dejé que reconstruyera todos los archivos de configuración. Esto ha funcionado y ahora puedo usar v22.3. Sin embargo, Photoshop todavía tarda mucho en cargarse.

 

Continúo usando v21 que funciona y se carga rápidamente, pero intentaré v22.2 para ver qué sucede.

I'm using  a Leadtek Quandro K2200 video card with  4GB of ddr memory. My understanding is that it exceeds the minimum required for PS. I'm using an up-to-date version of Win10 X64 Prof.

 

I can't get into most of the photoshop menus, including preferences. Most are either greyed out, which you would expect if the open image function fails, or, like the preference menu, generates a file error message when selected. I have, however looked at the the prefs file in the settings folder.  Its only 199KB, so that doesn't account for the delay in loading it.

 

You'll recall I mentioned that v21 is ok. Well, I copied the setting folder from v21 to v22.  There as no differnce in the result. Still long load times and program errors.

 

Might have to wait until the next release.

I am also using a graphics card (GT 630) that meets the minimum requirements for photoshop and my Windows 10 pro is up to date.  When I load 22.3 the performance tab in preferences either shows the graphics card selector greyed out or I will get an error when I try to access the performance tab.

What graphic card or processer are you using?  I think the new version may be too much for older graphics cards that don’t meet the minimum requirements.
