Question

Please Allow me to trade Elements for Photoshop with my CC account

I'm using Reader DC and Lightroom a ton. Included in my account is Photoshop, which I never use. I used to use Elements a ton and don't need anything more, but cannot justify paying for CC AND Elements. Hey Adobe: why not let us loyal subscribers choose between the two? I'd bet you'd increas subscriptions immensely for the more basic users. Please?

I don't understand your point. Today you can choose between Photoshop Elements which is an image editor and catalogue system, available on a perpetual license, and the Photography Plan subscription  which gives you both Lightroom and Photoshop CC which are more advanced applications. In this case the cataloguing is done in Lightroom and advanced editing in Photoshop. It makes no sense to use both Lightroom and Elements both of which have cataloguing.

Thanks Dave. Photoshop Elements isn’t on a subscription as far as I know. I’ve had to upgrade that simpler app darn near every year forever because I like it and know it. I don’t need Organiser, since I love and use Lightroom. It’s really the only reason I have creative cloud. I was forced to switch to that from Aperture and re catalogue many thousands of photos, thus I’m stuck anyway. In any case obviously I use it for cataloguing as well as simple quick edits. But I prefer Photoshop Elements for the complicated edits. I don’t want to learn and don’t need the full on version of Photoshop for editing. Thus, if I stay with my personally preferred program, I have to pay for CC plus buy a seperate Stand alone version of Elements just for my photo editing ( or learn a whole new program yet again which I don’t need or want). That seems pretty clear, no? Thus, I want Elements instead of Photoshop within my CC annual subscription.

Hi

You can get a plan that has Lightroom without Photoshop (with more storage space) if you really don't want Photoshop.
