Using Photoshop CC 2019 on Windows 7

After a recent update, my plugins stopped showing up on my Win 7 laptop.

'Never mind' I thought, this will be easy, just find the plugin location on my PC (where the plugins show up ok) and make sure those locations on the laptop have the plugin files.

The problem is that on my PC, the folder 'D:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Plug-ins' only contains an empty folder called 'Generator'. So where are the plugins held, if not in that folder?

Thanks for any help.

When you installed CC 2019 on you laptop did you install your Plug-ins into CC 2019.  Adobe Photoshop installers do not migrate third Party Plug-ins.  The need to be installed into CC 2019 by you.

I didn’t do an install on either my laptop or PC, I‘ve been using Photoshop CC for years now, so I just used Creative Cloud to ‘update’.

The question is, what is the location of the plugins, because they’re sure not in the plugins folder that I mentioned in my previous post.

Plug-In normally have an installer that will install the plug-in where it need to be.  Where it needs to be depends on your Platform and Photoshop version and how Photoshop is installed.  Each Photoshop version has its own third Party plug-in folder.  Though many plug-in can be installed into a separate Plug-in tree and be share with all installed version of Photoshop.

On Windows 10 Photoshop CC 2019 third party plug-in folder default location would be:

    "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Plug-ins"
