Hello, I upgraded my computer yesterday, and now I can't preview the normal map I am creating using
Filter > 3d > Generate Normal Map.
It lets me create it fine, just no preview, and this is very frustrating as I would like to see the changes to the settings I am making, since trying and failing to guess the settings over and over again is too time consuming. This function worked perfectly fine just the other day on my old and worse computer.
I checked and another post said to reset prefences and that did not work for me.
Could it be my GPU drivers? I checked Geforce Experience and I have the most up to date drivers though.
Thanks !

if its a new computer what did you reset your prefences too?
when you say there is no preview... that would stop you making the file so I assume there is a black preview = drivers blocked by Adobe... a known issue caused by Adobe and effects non English build of 20 and above
the two work arounds are;
use English builds or
use older 19 builds... most people that need to do 3D in Photoshop keep build 19 and use the current build as well for other non 3D images

Hi thanks for the response!
Everything is normal (lol) looking, I just want to preview in real time the changes I make. When I click generate normal map the actual image turns into a normal map but the changes are not updated as I change them in the normal map menu.
This is english Photoshop, build 21.1.2
I shall try installing an older version from the creative cloud and see if that helps fix it.

UPDATE:
I went back 1 build, from 21.1.2 to 21.1.1 and that fixed it.
Thanks!
