PS 2021 Bug in Line tool

Select Line Tool, draw, nothing appears. Increase stroke width doesn't help.

Workaround: with the line tool selected, select another iteration of the line, that is, select dashed or dotted, now the line shows up. Select the straight (continuous) line and it now appears as it should.

You have to make sure the stroke is set to center or outside. Inside won't work. Maybe your workaround changed that.

Adobe broke the line shape tool when they removed line weight. The Line Shape tool can only create arrowhead Shape layers. You have to use the rectangle shape tool to create line weight shape layers. Use both tool and merge the two shape layers to create shape layer with arrowheads you want. For if you Stroke the Arrow Shape Layers the arrow line stroke will be a 0x wide stroke line,  or a 1x wide stroke line or a 2x wide stroke line.  None of these will be the arrow shape layer you want. For only 0x wide line arrow layer arrowheads point to the correct location you do not get an arrow shaft you have been shafted.

This work around will work but is a PIA.  You can create weighted line shape layer that are vertical or horizontal with the rectangle shape tool.  These can be rotated via transform to any angle you  need.    When to have all the  Weighted Line Rectangle Shape Layers you need and positioned.  Then a shape layer can be create above the weighted line shape layers with  Arrowheads  foe the line shape using the Line shape tool. Merge all the shape layer into a single shape layer.  Then using a shape tool you can stroke the shape layer outside the shape's edge, or along the shape's edge, or inside the shape's edge.  It best to  use  an inside stroke so the lines do not lengthen because of the added stroke
