Recoloring Pattern with Specific Color Palette
Hello,
I'm currently making a seamless very complex splatter/ watercolor pattern to be used on fabric in PS using a consolidated palette. The pattern will need a variety of colorways using the specific color palette allowed for the project. Is there a way to change the colors in the pattern from one color to another color; like in Illustrator with color merge in fly out of swatch palette? ex white splatter White 01 replacing it with Green 45 ( no, I can't use illustrator as it doesn't create the effect needed)
Note*
What I've tried, and ideas I've had and the issues:
• color replacement- I have to change the saturation, hue, etc to match the color Ive selected in specific palette since it doesn't change to the exact color, and the edges (even with adjusting settings) still have a halo of original color.
• selection and then recolor (color range, magic wand, masking, etc...).- is impossible with the complex pattern and leaves a halo of original color around the selections
• keeping pattern separated in layers in every color version needed- would have worked except the pattern becomes inconsistent between each colored version as soon as I make it seamless and have to use the clone tool after offsetting it.
• color overlay only helps if the pattern is one color
• any use of hue sliders isn't accurate to the palette needing to be used
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
