remove layer from a group

Is it possible to remove a peticular layer from a group of layers and use it as a "normal" layer?

Or do i have to ungroup all the layers and then make a new group without that peticular layer?

I haven't upgraded yet, but on older versions, you'd just drag the layer out of the group, and I assume it's been unchanged.

In the Layers panel simply drag the layer out of the group.
