Removing Brush Sets

Guest
Apr 26, 2009 Apr 26, 2009

Hello, I want to remove my brushes because i got too many.. I can't see them all on my preset list. I want to remove them out of my preset list because i allready know how to remove them one by one... but when i remove them one by one they don't get removed out of my preset list. So can someone please help me with this problem? I've allready tried to remove them out of the map with brushes but they still stay there. I've also tried with uninstalling but that doens't work either. So can someone please help me with this??

Thanks

Things i've tried:

Uninstall Photoshop

Remove brushes one by one [if i do so, they won't be removed out of my preset list]

Remove brushes out of my Brushes map [doens't work because i remove the brushes out of my map. they stay on my list, and i can't load them anymore because i deleted them.]

I want to remove them out of this list.

auch, you've got a couple

Select Load Brushes from that menu, it should open a dialog box where all those brushes are saved. Just select the ones that you don't need and either Cut/Paste them out of there or simply delete them

Do you want to remove them permanently from the list?

With the Brush tool selected, just use the drop-down menu from the Options bar and select "Reset Brushes...".

That's where they are on Vista. Note that AppData is hidden so you'll have to go to Organize->Folder and Search Options, View tab and select Show hidden files and folders

C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Presets\Brushes\

Nope, if i remove the brush i don't want it's like i delete it out of my map.. it doesn't get removed from my list. If i click on it it says can't load.. that's because i deleted it.

And i did the brushes in this map: (C:)/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Presets/Brushes

that's why it didn't show the maps but when i was there deleting them didn't help 😕

you need to restart Photoshop for it to realize that you deleted those brushes and so to remove them from the list

select more brushes at once and hit delete as that will give you the UAC popup only once

Another option would be to disable UAC by going to Control Panel->User Accounts and select Turn User Account Control on or off
