Hi!

The rotation of the brush works well with keyboard arrows, why not do the same for clone stamp sample?

Thanks.

Hi John,

That's a nice idea for a feature request, you may suggest it here: https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html so that our engineers can look into implementing it in future updates.

You can already rotate the Clone Source using

Alt + Shift + < or > (windows)

Option + Shift + < or > (mac)

Use The Clone Source Panel

There is a combination of keys, but it is impossible to use it: it is inconvenient to press with one hand and the change is only 0.1 degrees ... how long does it take to wait for a change of +/- 90 degrees? And we can only use it on the English keyboard layout....

Now there are only 3 ways to change the angle of rotation of the source of the stamp:
1. Change the value of a field by entering its digital value directly.
2. Change by dragging the icon to the left of the field.
3. Put the input focus in the field and scroll the mouse wheel

1 and 2 work correctly, but you have to move the mouse cursor to the field, change the value, then bring the insertion to the target for preview, if you have not guessed with the angle - switch to the field again, etc.

3 - you only need to switch to the field once, then you can use the mouse wheel to change the angle and see the result, but there is a problem - the cursor must be kept above the original position (where the source from Alt was taken) otherwise Photoshop (tested in PS 21.0.1 win) will change the position of the source itself (in method 1 and 2 this does not happen). As a workaround: Take the source from alt, click on the approximate target where we need to see the preview (fixing the offset), undo the last action, put the cursor in the field and now you can change the value and see the preview at the insertion point. Long. Of the advantages: in addition to changing to 0.1 degrees by default, you can change with Shift to +/- 1 degree.

Ideally, it seems to me:
- assign a change in the angle of rotation of the source of the stamp on the insole keys up and down with a change of 1 degree.
- with Shift held down - change by 15 degrees (can be moved out to the settings if another value is more convenient for the user)
- with Alt clamped - 0.1 degrees (it would be more convenient Ctrl, but already taken)
And after taking the source from Alt, but before its first use of the tool, rotate the source as in methods 1 and 2 (i.e. without fixing Offset) with a preview in the cursor position.

In any case, it is necessary to quickly rotate the source with a preview of the result at the place of insertion of the copied fragment without the need to move the mouse cursor from the canvas.

Now I will suggest it at https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html, thanks
