Saving PSB Files

I have nearly a 2GB psb file that I need to save to JPEG or PSD. When I try it takes more then thirty minutes just to merge layers before it actually saves.

Moving the scratch disks and the psb file itself onto my internal SSD drive woudl speed up the process? What are some other operations I can try?

How big is the file in pixels, and how many layers does it?

What sort of content does it have? Mostly raster, or Type and other vector layers?

Check your primary Scratch drive for a current 'Photoshop temp...' file. How big is that file, and how much free space is there on that drive?

What is the spec of the computer you are using? CPU, RAM, GPU, Drives? It might be easier to open Photoshop and go Help > System info > Copy and paste to this thread with Ctrl v

What will you be using this file for?

Will it be printed, or what?
