Scripted Patterns Help

New Here ,
Apr 03, 2015 Apr 03, 2015

Ive been following some tutorials today and been attempting to utilise the v clever scripted pattern tool. The only problem I seem to have is that there is no option box to change the parameters of the pattern once I hit OK. I have the most recent update, am I missing something? In the tutorials this option box seems to come up automaticlally.

I'm using a MacBook Pro 2013 model with CS6 if that helps and using the following commands

Edit > Fill > Scripted Pattern > Random Fill..... then PS seems to do it automatically, as opposed to giving me options

Regards

Adam

You are using CS6, which does not have the second dialog box. That was added in PS CC. To adjust the fill with CS6, you need to actually edit the random fill script, which most users are either unwilling or unable to do. I created a UI that allows users to alter the scripts. There is no preview for my script, so it's a bit of trial and error, but it was written for CS6.

Before you hit ok in the first dialog box, you need to select your fill pattern. Are you seeing the fill drop down?

Once you click OK, you should see this dialog box to change the way the pattern is placed:

I'm following as instructed, but the customisation option box on the 2nd screenshot isn't coming up. When I hit OK It goes straight into applying the pattern to my image. Any ideas?

Can you post a screen shot of the first box?
