I wanted to post a picture to IG today.  When I select share... IG is no longer an option to share a photo with.  I am on Windows 10.  Did something change?

Did either of you update Photoshop recently, and did either of you previously install a Windows 10 app that allows you to post to Instagram? Because this may have been possible in the past, but it's not likely that it is allowed now.

On the Adobe side, I think some of the social sharing options in the Sharing button have been removed over time, not just Instagram. Part of this is that social media companies are restricting the extent to which third party applications can post, wanting people to use their own mobile (not desktop) apps. There is currently no way to upload from the desktop that is officially approved by Instagram. There is a related thread on this forum about it:

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/photoshop-cc-2018-share/td-p/9457826?page=1

Another example: In April 2019 this article told you how you could upload to Instagram from Windows 10.

    https://www.hopperhq.com/blog/install-post-instagram-windows-10/

But the article was updated because things changed, and it now points to the current article from February 2020 which no longer mentions that option:

    https://www.hopperhq.com/blog/how-to-post-to-instagram-from-pc-mac/

As the second article says at the beginning:

“To the dismay of people all over the world, Instagram does not allow us to upload photos or videos to our profiles from the desktop site.

This is an intentional move from Instagram to encourage mobile use of the app and engagement with other users.“

This must have been Photoshop Elements, not Photoshop CC.

Photoshop CC has never had a sharing panel.

    Hi Conrad,
I suppose it was update to both PhotoShop and Instagram. I noticed that the shortcut to Instagram has disapeared on the laptop. I looked for Instagram app byt could not find it anymore. Installed it and after a while I noticed the different in sharing.
It was very handy before to upload after finishing the photo in photshop and just click share to Instagram. Just another way to work. Made a macro now to reduce the file size and perpared to save for web and that photo is mailed to myself.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

    Regards,

I had a chat with support today and they say that this has not been able before. I´m 100% sure that I just had to click to share and there was Instagram. Something must have been changed. Either in Photoshop or in Instagram.

I have the same problem. Not able to share to Instagram. Look like something has changed. I thought it was something has changed with my settings. Re-installed Photoshop but still missing the feature to share with IG.
