Something for the weekend - Part 82 - Roll out the barrel

Hi

I took this weekend's starter image a few years ago at Fort George on the Moray Firth in Scotland. The fort was built following the Jacobite rising of 1745 and this room was the gunpowder magazine. To prevent sparks no iron fittings were used in its construction - even the floor is held by wooden dowels.

But enough of the history, what will you make from a room full of barrels?

Anything goes as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert.

There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!

When posting back your edited images please use jpeg and downsize to 1200px on the long side.

To download the image below in jpeg format with ICC color profile (sRGB) and without the forum scaling artefacts , right click and then use Save Image As /Save Target As (or similar depending on your browser).

Have fun!

Dave

Here's my go while at an airport. The bear is from a pic I took on a walk yesterday.

They are drilling for wine, I hope they don’t hit gunpowder instead!

A couple of centuries later, there was no longer a need for gunpowder and the barrels were repurposed.

    Hi

Hothwampa - what could go wrong indeed ....

Rista - I'm not sure what's in that cigarrete but it appears to be affecting my vision

Joan - I like the cat looking out from under the barrel rack.

Trevor - I like it - although we all better view it quickly before it all melts!

Jacob - Decisions , decisions - whisky or gunpowder !

Jane - I like your thinking. I actually used this image in the background of a 3D animation a couple of years ago:

    Dave,

Decisions , decisions - whisky or gunpowder !

And how to know, which to the left and which to the right, until you start drilling holes, one barrel tap ready?

You had me worried, Dave, but then it was suddenly there.

And when nothing happened again I was afraid I had blown it, but then Nancy did.

I was a bit late posting the challenge this week.

Jacob - a good start - all that effort to prevent sparks and....

Nancy - your image follows perfectly from Jacob's. Kaboom indeed!

Graham - the big question is, Is she running forwards and moving backwards with the barrel, or is she running backwards and moving forward?

Trevor - he must be waiting for the mouse to appear from SFTW79

    Dave, Graham,

the big question is, Is she running forwards and moving backwards with the barrel, or is she running backwards and moving forward?

Indeed. Intriguingly, her posture seems to indicate neither so maybe we are witnessing the inevitable transition, given the limits to the roominess of the room.
