Turn off Adobe Acrobat Synchronizer?
I'm getting the spinning beach ball in PS so often now that it takes me an hour to do a 40 minute project. I check to see how much RAM I have available while I'm getting the ball and it always says at least 3.5 GB free. Now my files are very large so I don't expect the program to fly, but the ball seems to be a separate issue (I think). I am using brushes a lot as well as things like Quick Select, the Pen Tool, Shapes and the like. When I checked Activity Monitor while this is happening, I'm seeing the Adobe Acrobat Synchronizer file is always right at the top (or just under) the list for RAM usage, usually right next to Photoshop. It rarely varies from that position, even when I'm not running any Adobe programs (except for the CC Desktop App). What I'd like to know is, can I shut that down somehow? My research suggests (please correct me if I'm wrong) that it coordinates Adobe programs over a network. However, I'm not on a network, so (unless I am wrong) all it's doing for me is hogging resources I'd dearly like to have elsewhere. Can I safely stop it via the Activity Monitor or will I end up causing more harm than good? If the latter is the case, what might my options be please? Thanks.
