Type of brush and texture to make backgrounds from Harvey Girls Forever

So, I'm studying the designs for my project called "I Got Rich In My Tummy: A Harvey Girls Forever Fan-Made Episode", and I had to ask "What type of texture/brush did they use to make the background?".

set brushes to default black & white

filter >> render>> clouds ( I used a 3000 x 3000 px document)

add an adjustment layer of threshold

you can then merge the layers and apply

filter >> noise >>median to round the edges

I set layer opacity to 20% and blend mode to multiply

underneath i put a solid pinkish color
