Undo/History issues

So, I've been having this issue with Photoshop that sometimes it doesn't register an action to the history or something lags, so the action undoes itself without me undoing it and sometimes new created layers are deleted as well. There have also been times where more than 1 action is undone at once. Is this problem my fault of is anyone else dealing with this?

Are you on a Mac or PC? Are you using a Wacom tablet? What version? What version of Photoshop are you working with?

Have you tried resetting your preferences? Here is an article that might help with that

If you think it might be your tablet, then here are two links to remove older version of the Wacom software and how to reinstall it.

Also, what tool are you using to draw with? Is it the brush took? Pen tool?

Hi! I have a couple of questions for you:

1. What version of Photoshop are you using?

2. You mention the word Actions, which are different from History States. Are you actually talking about thing missing in your History States? Are you using Non-Linear History?

If you are going back in your History panel and you move a few states back, it will undo everything you did between those two history states. So if you created a new layer, and then moved back in history beyond that, that layer will be deleted and the document will be exactly the same as it was in that history state.

If you turn on Allow Non-Linear History, you can then move back in time and delete the state you want, and not affect the history states in between.

Let us know if that helps, or if you still have questions.

It still seems to randomly delete my  previous brush strokes when I try and undo and redraw. I've had this problem for a little bit and I can't tell if it's due to my drawing tablet of laptop but it has gotten worse.

I'm going to check those links now, I use Mac and I'm using the Wacom Intuos proM along with photoshop 2019. I also use brush tools/presets that are custom/downloaded but I doubt that's the issue.
