Unwanted blank document/background screen

I just installed the newest update for Photoshop and now I have this unwanted extra blank window all the time. I layer up multiple photos to do edits and this window is always in the way....help

    Anyone else have a real answer on how to hide this window?


    It's possible you are referring to the Application Frame. If that is the case choose Window and down near the bottom of the drop-down list, uncheck Application Frame.

    Why are you scaling down your screen capture so we can not read what has been captured? Is that gray window Photoshop CC main UI window on a Mac I use windows?

    See that big blank grey window behind my photo document window? That's what I'm trying to shut off

    Yes, it is the main UI window but it never used to show, I could open PS open my files in floating windows and that window would not be there.
