Wacom pen pressure issues in photoshop with Kyle brushes

Hi, I have a Wacom Intuous Pro and I'm finding that I need to apply a lot of pressure with the pen to achieve good results with the Kyle brushes. Standard pressure either doesn't create any marks or they are very faint. To achieve any sort of light mark, I have to press really hard. Any tips? I don't want to make a hole in my tablet

Have you checked to make sure the driver is still active and updated?

It's a brand new tablet, so I installed it this week and all the updates are up-to-date   P.S. I'm using it on a mac, if that makes any difference to the setting options?

Hi, the tip feel is set roughly halfway between firm and soft. The pressure profile is set to the attached pic reference. Are there any other settings I need to check... in photoshop per say? Thank you.
