Warp Text causes text to become bold and doesn't allow me to change it back.

I'm using Photoshop CS6. I've used Warp Text many times in the past, even with the same font I'm using but this never happened. I've tried reloading the program, even restarting my computer but nothing helped. Is there any settings that might be causing this? I'm at a loss here.
