When I use the eraser tool in photoshop it erasers a diagonal line to a point somewhere

When I use the eraser tool in photoshop it erasers a diagonal line to a point somewhere in the corner of the screen from the point I release the mouse.

 

I drag the eraser then as soon as I release it a line goes from the endpoint diagonally up the left top corner of the screen.

It seems to be going to a central point as the angle differs from where ever it ends on the screen.

The only way around the issue for Windows 7 users is to revert to 21.0.3 via the Creative Cloud app unitl Adobe fixes the one of many issues with version 21.1

Hello, are you using Windows 7, or with a stylus with Wintab on Windows  10?

I also have this problem and similar problem with free selection tools like Patch or Lasso. And I do use Windows 7.
