Which of these monitors will work well with Photoshop?

Hello,

I am choosing between the Acer XB273k 27in 144hz 4K monitor which has DCI-P3, 107% sRGB, 73% Adobe RGB, and Delta E. and the Asus ROG Swift PG279Q 27in 165hz 1440p which is 107% sRGB and 73% Adobe RGB

Will these be good photo editing? Is the Adobe RGB large enough to use with Adobe RGB settings in Photoshop? Which will be better overall reguardless of which color space I use?

I will use it for photo editing and illustration such as comic cooks, etc.

Both are standard gamut gaming monitors, neither particularly well suited for photo editing. At the same time, being 4K at 27 inch screen size, not particularly cheap. 4K is twice the price at the same basic panel quality.

They will work OK, but the money is much better spent elsewhere. I'd go with 27 inch at 2560 x 1440 resolution, which in that price range should buy you a superb unit such as an Eizo CS or an NEC PA.

There's no product category where the marketing is so full of nonsense as with monitors. The spec sheets are filled with meaningless fluff, while the things that really matter are not mentioned. Panel uniformity, highlight and shadow separation, and not least a good calibration solution. Eizo and NEC have all that, Asus and Acer don't.

The monitor is the one piece of equipment that has direct impact on the quality of your work. An expensive computer lets you work faster, but a good monitor lets you work better.

Regarding gamut, see this recent thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/Photoshop/Working-in-the-ProPhoto-RGB-working-space/td-p/10625465
