Why can't the slice be exported in Tiff or Psd?

I would like to know if anyone knows how to export a file cut into sectors in tiff at 300 dpi?

Hi Marketing,

Slices are for web. The theory is that you slice a large image, optimize the sections differently and create multiple images, then pull them back into a table using html code. This made sense in the olden days when tables were how we created web pages.

To do what you want, create guides, then select and crop from the Image menu. If your resolution is 300 pixels per inch (ppi), it will stay that way when you Save As and choose tiff as the format.

When you save a layered PSD file your slices should be saved in it. Slices are save for web pages along with the the HTML code I believe.  Have not looked at that part of Photoshop for many years now so my memory may be faulty.
