Why do I have to import ALL my brushes again, after EVERY update?!

Very very frustrating, after every single update all my brushes disappear, there are only the defaults left. I have to import all of them back, and if I hadn't saved some presets, they all are gone forever. Why is this? Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening? I have them saved, now, of course (after I lost a bunch of my own brushes), but it's still annoying to import all of them again and again. Hlep.
