It's the little annoying crap in Adobe programs that just frustrate me so much, it's 2019 and I still can't undo more than once while typing text in Photoshop!! Or maybe there is but god forbid any adobe program have intuitive commands....

I think why people are irritated with you is, not so much the choice of words, but that you are blasting Adobe about an action you claim Photoshop doesn't do when, in fact, it does (look for example, at the History states). If you can't be bothered to learn this professional level program maybe you should choose a simpler application that might suit your requirements better.

And while your at it please explain how to precompose in premiere without cropping the frame? How to use content aware fill without cropping the layer, how to use HSL colour control with brush in Lightroom? how to easily change from a frames scale timeline to seconds/minute timeline in premiere. I can go on

It’s the little improper choice of words on these Fora that annoy me so much.

Have you read the Forum guidelines?

I assume you mean that cmd-Z only undoes entering the last letter or paste or delete etc.?

Photoshop’s Type capabilities are somewhat limited, despite some improvements over the decades, and that does not seem that surprising considering that it is intended primarily as an image editor.

Anyway it seems like entering text works kind of like entry in a modal dialog and this might make sense to avoid having each letter entered etc. manifest as a distinct History step.

So I wonder if the cmd-Z in an active Type Layer is actually using some (basic) OS functionality.

You can post a Feature Request over on

Maybe you strike a chord with others who have to do type-work in Photoshop and with some luck an Adobe employee might chime in.

lol I'm sorry but if 'crap' is considered faux pas here I can see why nothing ever improves with Adobe programs because expressing your anger is against the rules

So what your saying is this 'feature' has been a 'feature' for +20 years and Adobe has done nothing about.... feature request is pointless because Adobe doesn't fix CRAP all!

Anyway, no hard feelings to you, I'm just consistently disappointed with Adobe.

This is a user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

No matter whether you consider »crap« an offensive term or not I recommend reading the Forum Guidelines anyway.

In your Photoshop Preferences how mage history states do you configure ? I can backup 100 steps. You also can not undo a change you have not committed. foe no change has been made till you commit the change. Also as far as Text go Adobe made a change now by default ESC commits your error. I reverted ESC to cancel the mistake not commit it.  So you mileage may be different than mine if you use Adobe's default bogus change commit mistakes.
