WIN10/PC - Could not Apply the Workspace because the file is locked!
So, I just happened to install Photoshop CC 2017 from Creative Cloud and every time I start photoshop I get the following error: "Could not Apply the Workspace because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use Properties command in the windows explorer to unlock the file".
The consequence of the error is that I can't even open a simple jpg.
The message in itself is so vague it's useless as it doesn't specify any particular file or location. I've looked up previous occurrences of this error saying to check if the preferences files in AppData/Roaming/Adobe/... and all seems very fine there. Also, I tried rebooting following the update, nothing.
UPDATE:
I uninstalled CC 2017 (both Bridge and Photoshop), deleted the folders in roaming and program files, and re installed both.
Now I can open files but I can't access "photography" workspace (it says the same thing as before) and whenever I try to load actions from the actions menu, it either crashes photoshop or display "could not complete the command because the file is locked ...".
RESOLVED: It seems that running Photoshop as an administrator did the trick...
I'm seriously tired of this and really disappointed in Creative Cloud in general. Good Job Adobe.
