Abode Premiere Elements 2018 No audio being imported with Video

I'm really curious as to why this happens. One clip will be fine but the next will not have audio. I am uploading recordings of my desktop or games being played but I don't understand why one will have it but not the next. I always wait for the imported clip to finish conforming before I drag it to the track. They are all mp4 files. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated!

Most likely the answer can be found in the project specs. On-screen video recorders can save audio and video with some pretty non-standard specs.

If you'd like us to look at your specs, open one of those MP4s in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the report that is generated and paste it to this forum.

The operating system you're working on can also be relevant.

Why are the files sometimes working and sometimes not? It's hard to say. If you can, post the specs of a file that works and of a file that does not so we can compare the two.
