Adobe Premiere Elements 2024 black preview

Installed Adobe Premiere Elements 2024 and come to find the only I can see a preview is open the project in Quick mode.

Do I have to pay more money to open a project in Guided or Expert because when I insert a clip into the timeline the preview is completely black screen. Makes it extreemly difficult to edit a video.

I have removed and reinstalled Adobe Premiere Elements 2024 to no avail.

What operating system?

If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate before importing into Premiere Pro:
