when im editing my videos in premiere elements 21 its impossible to do anything becauyse if i try to playback the videos in my timeline it lags so bad that it shows 1 frame every 20 seconds. any fix?

I have installed Premiere Elements and entered my serial number. I get an error that the software is already activated. I no longer have the computer that Premiere was installed on. I did not deactivate Premiere on the old computer before I disposed of it.Is there a way to deactivate the old installation so that I can install Premiere on the new computer?

Hi,just recently bought Premiere Elements 2026 but I have huge issues on Windows 11. When importing 4K/50 videos from GoPro (25 videos) into Premiere Elements, I got 1st huge issues with generating Peak files. It sometime hangs and Premiere is restarting. If I overcome this by importing one file at a time, my timeline starting to be constantly frozen, when I open project media browser, I usually got freeze of Premiere, amount of RAM used by Premiere is going into values like 30 - 40 GB (I have 64GB RAM) and then app crashes leaving huge dump file (like 40GB) in the AppData folder. Switching nVIDIA support not helps. I have check on 2025 version trial, and no issue at all. Also there are no issues on Mac with 2026 version…. Any idea what is happening with Windows version of 2026 and what can I do with this issue?

Good morning!After installing Premier Elements 2021 on a new PC I found out that I reached the limited number of activations/installations (even being signed out from old computer) - that seems like a smart marketing move by the company to get rid of old-timers, who do not want to get hooked on subscriptions.Ok, so now I am using subscription type Premier Elements 2026 (3 year subscription for $80). When I do the Export of the project and timeline has a customer logo “imposed” for 1 second, the whole frame gets a hase over and lightens up a bit. Which is quite annoying “improvement” - the video rolls, my model talks and as soon as logo appears in the corner of the screen, the whole frame lightens up. Internet suggests that I change the “export” settings - from Hardware accelerated encoding to Software accelerated encoding. Hello, I am unable to see my scanner in Elements 2026.  When I select File/Import I only see WIA Support.  I have checked WIA and it is running and I see both scanners.  If I select WIA support, it freezes up completely and I have to manually stop running the program from task manager.  I am running Windows 11

I’m trying to adapt to Premier Elements 2025, after using prior versions (2021 as the latest) for years. Biggest single problem is, I simply cannot find convenient one-frame-forward or one-frame-back controls. In prior versions, there was a simple button, for each of those commands, which would then allow me to use a cut command at exactly the frame I wanted. In the 2025 version, all I can figure out is, keep expanding, and expanding, and expanding the timeline, until I can use my mouse to create what looks like only a single-frame jump at a time. If anyone can help me find a better way to get single-frame resolution, before I cut/trim a video segment, I would be very grateful.

I’ve been using P-Elements for years, and was comfortable with the 2021 version, but that version cannot handle HEVC h.265 files. So, I upgraded to the 2025 version, but that interface is just so, so totally different, I cannot use it comfortably, or efficiently, and since I’m just an occasional hobbyist who doesn’t do this often, I have found it deeply frustrating, and discouraging, to try to learn a completely new and different interface -- especially since I cannot find any way to move forward or backward by a single frame, before I trim a video (I created a separate post, to try to address that problem).My question is, if I buy the 2022, or 2023, or 2024 version of Premier Elements, will it be able to handle HEVC h.265 files, while letting me continue to use an interface which is at least similar to the 2021 version?Or, can anyone give me a complete step-by-step version of where to find (I’m hoping someone can offer an exact link, rather than just some name that I would need to beg

The floating timeline is not working in adobe premiere elements 2026, also after adobe service support said that the problem is solved and the case closed, the problem is stil there, also after the new update.

I've been using 2021 Premier Elements for years, now trying Elements 2025, want to get newly saved mp4(2025) files to match parameters of older mp4(2021) files, close enough for high-speed lossless merging in Bandicut. I've matched frame size, frame rate, keyframe rate, and audio traits; and, I’ve tried both Constant Bitrate, and Variable Bitrate. But, none of those have been good enough for Bandicut, which keeps saying, “no, if you want to merge those two mp4 files together, you will have to use slow frame-by-frame encoding, and that will be lossy.” How many more parameters do I need to align, and what are they? I’m using a Windows 10 system, to create 1080p files, with a target bitrate of 11 Mbps.

My green screen footage looks normal and in full color before applying the key. As soon as I apply Ultra Key to the green screen clip and select the green background with the eyedropper, the foreground subject (me) becomes grayscale/grey (looks like desaturated/black-and-white). This happens even if I place a colorful background video underneath. Important: it’s not just a preview issue — the exported video also shows the subject in grayscale. Steps to reproduce: Import a green screen clip (subject in front of green background). Clip is full color normally. Place clip on V2. Place any background video/image on V1 (optional; subject still turns gray even without background). Add Ultra Key to the V2 clip. Use eyedropper to select the green background as Key Color.

I re-loaded Premier Elements 2021 onto a machine I’ve been using for years, when Win 10 got corrupted and needed a fresh install. Whenever I load a template file, to bring in the parameters I want to start with (1080p, etc), it creates a batch of unwanted folders on my desktop (Autosave, Layout, etc). I have repeatedly opened Preferences, then Scratch Disks, and inserted the name of a folder (which is on a solid-state drive other than the one where my Premier Element project files are located, and other than the drive I save my mp4 files to). But, as soon as I close Premier Elements, it wipes out those folder names, and goes back to “desktop scattering” mode, the next time I open it. How can I get it to save, and use, the folder location I keep asking and telling it to use?

After upgrade to version 26.0.0 the effect “Blend” is missing. I used it to change the opacity of source clips. Does this effect now have another name or is there another way to change blend modes/opacity of source clips? 

Hello!I'm aware that there have been similar question asked before, but I feel that my case might be a bit different, since I couldn't find a solution to my problem.So, I have a few questions about exporting on Adobe Premiere Elements 12. I create gaming videos on YouTube. I record console games with Elgato HD (in 720p 60 fps) and PC games with Fraps (in 1080p 60 fps). The raw, non-edited video is in great quality. However, when I export the edited video, my quality drops. It's still good, but not as good as the original footage, which bothers me. I know for sure I have something wrong with my exporting settings, but I can't figure out what. I've tried rising the bitrate, but even when I set it to as high as it's possible, the quality doesn't match the original.Here are the settings I've used to export my Fraps recorded videos:Videos are usually edited to about 20-30 minutes, and with these settings the exporting takes about 2 hours.But here's the one thing that confuses me. I have Adobe Premiere Elements 2024 and I just received a message saying it cannot open/launch because the disk is full. I have no idea what that means and how do I fix it? 

We have two versions of Premiere Elements, 2023 & 2025.  A 1920X1080 movie is imported into both and both are exported with selected device of 1920X1080.  The 2023 version seems to produce a size like 1400X ????.  We have tried everything even to match the frame size.   The 2025 version has no problem exporting correctly.  One of the suggestions was to look at sequence settings, but it is either hidden or not available on the 2023 version.   Any thoughts?

When I "Show Properties" of a clip, the list does not show the clip's length.  I want to customize the list view to include that property.  I'm unable to follow how to do that as explained on Adobe's page "Viewing clip properties" .  Step one is "Open the Project Assets panel".  Did that.  Step two is "Right-click in the Media view and choose Edit Columns.  Ensure that you select an area outside the rows containing the assets."Sooo, where is that? I've right clicked all over, and have yet to see "Edit Columns" appear.  Must be simple, but I just don't get it!

I have been using 2014 and now 2025. I bought 2025 thinking I would move up but the change was to great.Lately in 2014 when importing a file from disc the the video is playing at half speed and the audio is correct.I moved the same file to 2025 and it did the same thing.I have searched and it appears to be something to do with frame rate????What could have changed to cause this new problem?

I restarted my Win11 computer and another lockup.I switched to a different menu and the program worked... so, if you have v2021 and have a program lockup while making a DVD try switching to a different menu to see if that fixes the problem.Menu Holidays-->Summer Beach is what caused my problem

Title says it. How do I take a MOGRT file and add it to Premiere Elements?  I currently have to use chroma key on my motion graphics and they turn out grainy. I would like to just upload the original MOGRT file so the quality is better. I cannot seem to find out how to do this in Elements.
