Hello,
I'm working on an editing project in Premiere Elements 8, and I got an error message: "Audio Filter missing: Internal Volume Stereo." Whatever the problem is, the file cannot be played. I saved an earlier draft of my project, so all is not lost. But I really would like to continue working on this one with the error message. Does anyone have any advice on how I can fix this?

I think it goes without saying, but you're working with a piece of software that was released 12 years ago and was likely not created for the operating system you're currently running.
I'd recommend you download the free test drive of the current software. It may load the components you need to run version 8. Or it might be worth even trying the audio filter in the current version and seeing if it does the job. Might be worth upgrading.
But if you do decide to try to run the effect in the current version of the program, do NOT try to open your version 8 project in version 2022. Start from scratch in version 2022. Trying to open a version 8 project in version 2022 will most certainly lead to a major file corruption.

I google searched that error and found a few articles. You might do the same. It seems that it may come from a mismatch in audio tracks or corrupted source clips. It might also come from a mismatch between the old version 8 and a newer operating system.
