Can I edit a soundtrack music song that I have added to a video I am creating?

I have Premier Elements 2018. I have added a song in the "Music" line, but I would like to clip and delete the first 20 seconds or so of the song. In the video/audio lines, I could place the CIT at the beginning of the song, click on the scissors, move the CIT to the 20 second mark, click the scissors again, then right click on the section and hit "Delete and Close Gap". The beginning section of the song should be deleted and the remaining section moved to the beginning of the video.

I have looked all over for the answer but cannot find anything about this. Please tell me that I did not just spend $100 on software that won't allow me to edit my soundtrack songs like it does the video/audio......

Delete and Close Gap won't work if there is any media in any other video or audio track on the timeline in the spot you are deleting from.

After deleting, click the clip and drag it to the location you want it or cut and paste it.
