I do not like the home page for the latest models of Premiere Elements for a Windows 10 PC. So much so, I don't use my PE 2020 but PE 14 instead. I'd upgrade to PE 2021 or 2022 if there is a way to turn off the saving of projects to the home page. Thanks for any info.
I don't know of any way to keep recent projects from showing up on the Welcome Screen.

Bummer. I have a devil of a time deleting the projects from the home page when I'm done with them and try to remove all associated clips. When I attempt to delete a film clip, the program indicates I can't because of the saved project on the home page. Quite annoying. I have yet to find a way to remove the project file directly from the home page.

Why would the project's listing on the Welcome Page interfere with your deleting the project from your hard drive?
Oh well, you can always sidestep the Welcome Screen/Hub completely. Just navigate to C/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 and create a shortcut to the file PremiereElementsEditor.exe. This way the Hub won't launch and won't interfere with your removing the file.

Steve, I tried that but the welcome screen still exits so it dumps the projects on that screen. I, of course, can track down the project and delete the clips I used to make it but it's a pain in the butt and I have absolutely no use for the welcome screen and wish Adobe would let us decide if we wanted the screen to open or go away . At least give us the ability to delete projects off the page.
Thanks, Steve. Just checking to see if the new versions included the welcome screen and recent projects functions and considering they still do, I see no reason to update.

Gene,
If you follow what Steve says and find the right .exe file, you will go directly to Premiere Elements, bypassing everything else. On my computer, it is "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2022\PremiereElementsEditor.exe".
I get no welcome screen or project file list. My first screen looks like this:

The default shortcut is this: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2022\Elements Home\Adobe Premiere Elements 2022.exe" .
I gets you a different screen like this:

Bill, I did set up a link to the editor .exe file and for some reason, the welcome page was still hiding in the background and my projects were sent as a copy there. I'm using 2020 but I'll go ahead and try again to create a shortcut directly to the editor page using the instructions you noted.
Thanks!
