Export and Share not working in Premiere Elements 2024

I'm trying to export a rough cut of a 2 minute video, but after rendering and saving the file, I hit "Export and Share" and nothing happens.  I've exported edited mp3s with no problem.  The disc has 350 gigs free.

I reopened Premiere, and now output works fine.  The file size of the video leads to another question:  Can you recommend a (preferably free) converter that will save mp4s as MOVs?

You can of course output an MOV directly from Premiere Elements. That will save you converting.

Any particular reason you want mov?

mp4 and mov are just wrappers (containers)

Elements does not export mov with H.264 inside (windows)

Ann, I thought movs had much smaller file sizes, but after trying Shutter Encoder, the mov was twice the size of the mp4.  I'm looking for portability; is there a format or codec that I can convert the video to that will be small enough to email?  Quality loss at this stage isn't all that important.
