I have PE 2022 in Windows 11 (Edition Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2, Installed on 11/21/2024
OS build 26100.4946, Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.197.0) - the latest vesrsion.
Desktop: Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700 (2.10 GHz), Installed RAM 64.0 GB (61.7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. Display adapters: Intel (R) UHD Graphics 770 Driver date 1/23/2025. Dell U2414H Monitor.
Sometimes when I start playing a clip in a project I hear short beep and the screen frezees. The desktop becomes totally disabled. I can't even open Task manager to close PE. I have to turn off PC. When I turn it on I have a blue screen where I have to enter a bitlocker key to proceed. After I login I see multiple black screens coming and go. I usually restart computer (sometimes a couple of times) to get it back to normal.
Then I load PE project again and every time I am not sure if I can work on the project for some time....
Is it PE 2022 problem in Windows 11 and I need to upgrade to PE 2025 or to PE 2026 (to be released later this year) ?
Thanks. Lev.
Have you tried updating the graphics driver from Dell?

I have a different system and PrEl version, so these are only ideas
Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10 or Windows 11
-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window
-and/or select Run as Administrator to assign FULL Windows permissions
-also https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/create-local-administrator-account-windows.html
Check your driver - Intel https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/211969/Intel-HD-Graphics-Family

Thank you, John.
I got to c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2022\Elements Home
Right click on Adobe Premiere Elements exe file, Properties --> Comatibility
Checked Run this program as an administrator. Clicked "Apply" and "OK" to save changes.
Hope it will solve the problem. I will let you know.
Thanks. Lev.

Thank you, Bob. The graphics drivers was supposed to be upgraded with windows updates. But I got to the Dell wbsite and upgraded it to the latest version though I had a notice that it was already istalled. I will see how it is goes and let you know. Dell is very confusing. I regret I bought Dell, not someting else.

From the little I know (I build my own for me & wife) Dell is VERY proprietary in the BIOS and driver support, so if a Dell driver doesn't fix your problem I don't think anyone will be able to help

John, I have updated the driver. Just do not understand why Dell and windows did not do it automatically. After I did it I still have: This driver is not compatible
This driver is not applicable for (my service tag) with Windows 11. You can search for a similar driver for this device or check to see if this driver is compatible with another device.
But no problems with PE 2022.
