Getting out of Freeze Frame

New Here ,
Sep 22, 2025 Sep 22, 2025

I am stuck in freeze frame mode and can't get out. I do not want to freeze any frame. I have tried to restart the program but it just goes back to the same freeze frame blank screen.

What is the source of your video and what is its resolution and frame rate?

Which version of the program are you using? Under the Edit menu, what is listed as your Project or Sequence Setting?

OMG - this must be Steve Grisetti! Your video lessons are fabulous. They were how I learned the software when I got my first version in 2019. Thank you for the response. I am now in Adobe PE 2025. I've attached a couple of screen prints that I believe are responsive to your questions.

I am trying again to attach the screenshots, both as a PDF file and a Word file. Do you see them now?

Okay - I tried to send with embedded JPG versions, but that may not work either. There is a lot of information under both the project settings and sequence settings. Can you say a little more about what you want to know? Lynn

Thanks - here are the screenshots of the project settings and sequence settings that Grisetti asked for - the pop-up windows are on top of the screen I can't get out of.

These don't give me all the information I need, lw. What of camcorder is your video footage from and what is its resolution and frame rate?

I am using only still photos (jpegs) in this particular "video." I never intended to do any freeze framing and have no idea how I got into this mode! Lynn

There really is no such thing as 'freeze frame mode' so I'm not sure where you're stuck.

Are you saying the timeline won't play your slideshow?

Yes, that's just what I call it. I can't get out of this screen - the one in the background of the screenprints I sent. And if I close the file and open it again, I am just back on this same screen and I still can't get back to my "video." I've also rebooted my computer with no luck and opening the file on a different computer with the same result. I've been trying these steps off and on for 3 days now, but still can't get out. I can open other projects I've done...just not this one. Lynn

If you have a backup, make a copy of it and try to open it.

I already did that and it just opened to this same page that I can't get out of.
