I have made videos with a gopro 10 camera 4k 60 and 30 fps but I can't insert and edit them in premiere elements 2021. Can someone inform me why, will it be better in 2022 verson ?

Premiere Elements does not interface with 60 fps 4K video.

Hi Steve, thank you for answering, I am one of your followers on Youtube!
I changed the settings on the Gopro to 30fps 4K video and tried that in Premiere elements but I got a similar problem, please see a screen shot ? The file I tried is a very short one. Do you have any idea ?

I'm no expert on GoPro footage, so we may need to rely on someone more experienced with it to offer advice.
But meantime, open this GoPro footage in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the complete text of this report and paste it to this forum. There may be a clue among these specs.
Also advise us if you're using the Mac of Windows version of the program.

Would you post your short clip on Dropbox or similar? I would like to try it on my computer and maybe help figure it out.

Red means there is a problem with the decoding.
There is a setting in the Preferences for hardware acceleration: turn that off or on.
See how that goes.

I was hoping to be offered a clip to see if it was an H.265 issue. Earlier posts with older GoPros have had the H.265 codec missing.

If h.265 was missing there would be a error message.

I agree Ann, but this is a GoPro 10. There might be something new and different?

Yeah the codec.

So maybe the MediaInfo report is a good idea.

There are multi flavors of H.264 codec.
Most likely Elements is not optimized for GoPro10
A clip to test would be nice.

I think I found the problem, I imported the file to Premiere elements from an external SSD memory that was connected via my docking hub. Now when I tested to import the files from the PC internal memory, it works fine.
Thank you for looking into my problem.
Do you know if the new version "2022" of premiere elements will handle 4k 60fps ?

If you would share a short 4K 6fps clip I would be happy to find out.

Premiere Elements can process GoPro10 4L footage at 60fps.
I found an adventure bicyclist that shares his GoPro 10 clips on Google Drive. One is 69.7 mbps, 3840 x 2160, HEVC, 59.94fps. It runs about 2 minutes and is about 1 GB in size. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nwFKphgrB3Z0F04nBZ7vcsIZArBOAHRg/view?usp=sharing
I have a Windows 10, i7 laptop with 16 GB of RAM. Last year I paid the $.99 to Microsoft for the HEVC codec for PrE 2021. I have recently installed PrE 2022.
The GoPro 10 clip worked without issue in both the 2021 and 2022 versions. The automatic project settings show 3840 x 2160 and 59.59 in both.

I have the same, window i7 laptop 16GB RAM, Then I most probably need HEVC codec, I see that there are several sites that offer free downloads HEVC codec, perhaps its safer to buy from Microsoft ?

I have now installed HEVC codec and now it looks like it works, I can import both Gopro 4k 30 fps and 4k 59.59 fps in PrE 2021.
Thank you for your support, very valuable !

Fantastic! Thanks for coming back with an "in works now" post. Technically, it makes sense that the HEVC codec is needed. Practically, it make no sense that one needs to buy it for $.99 from Microsoft. The "problem" stems from who owns the H.265/HEVC codec and how they need a profit for creating it.

Hi, I have now purshased and installed the 2022 version, when I insert a video, its very slow and its lagging, is it needed to buy and install the H.265/HEVC codec again, or do you think its needed something else ? I have 16g RAM I think it should bu sufficient ?

You don't need the codec again. When you bought it, it installed as part of Windows.
The versions are not different enough to cause a performance issue. My guess is that you have some setting wrong some where. Start with checking the the Default Audio Input and make it "No Input". Then look at the General Setting page and try changing some of those. Can you post a screen shot of that page?

Hi again,
I don't get it to work. It looks that I have the same settings that I have on the 2021 version.
I have the program in Swedish, but I think you can see what settings I have anyway, please see the screen shots below:
