Mask size alters with Track matte key

Hello. I'm using Premiere elements 13. I have pictures or videos as the background, say that's on Track 2. I insert a circle shape; that's on Track 3. There could be a picture or video on Track 1. I apply the Track matte key effect to the clips on Track 2 respect to the shape on Track 3 so the clips that are behind (Track 1) are seen circle shaped. But if I resize any of the clips I apply the effect to, the size and position of the shape changes as well. I want it to stay as is regardless of what I do with the clips.

Thank you

You'll need to finish all of your animations before you apply the Track Matte. Once you've applied the Track Matte effect, you can't make further adjustments in Premiere Elements. At least that's been my experience.

Ok. It's not that I've made animations but I guess I'd get the same issue if I did, like you said. But what I've done is scaling the background since its aspect ratio is not the same as that of my project's. And this happens (example with random photos)

Notice the position of the circle. Do you know how I could get the result I want working in just one project? Thanks

Unfortunately, that is how the Track Matte has been designed. You cannot scale one asset without the other following.

I see. Thanks. Do you have any idea how to get the result I want working in just one project still using  Premiere elements 13?

Track one, the beach is that a still or a movie clip?

You just want the face to scale up but not the shape.

Can E13 export to Quicktime animation?

The beach is Track 2, it's a still that I scaled (AR wasn't 16:9); but I'd also use a video or animate a still. Yes, I want the shape (Track 3) to not scale nor move with Track 2 after I apply Track matte. Face is Track 1. At the end, I want to put a shaped photo or video on top of another.

I believe E13 can export to Quicktime (not sure if animation).

Thanks for your attention.

If the beach is a still open it in Photoshop or some simular.

Draw a cirle and make a hole.

Save as PNG with transparancy.

If the beach is a movie

Draw a green circle on the movie

Export this with a high image quality.

Import file into Elements and key out the green.

Now you have a movie with and hole. Put it on V2.

Put your animation in face in V1.
