If it were me and I had to change from Pro to Elements for some reason, I would output a high quality intermediate file from Pro and use it as a source file in Elements. There would be some work involved but it might be less than starting from scratch.

They added Prores but can't include HEVC or 5.1 MTS/AVCHD?

Yes that is a shame.

I think Bill gives the most simple and correct work around. If necessary, I do export my project in the status it is at that moment from elements to pro through a file like mp4 or equal/better(good) quality. Then start that file as a (temporary) project in the other program. If necessary you can reverse the process and go back to elements as well. Bit of work but it goes like a charm.

You will never get a better quality export file than the original. You will always have quality loss, being it visible or not.
The only way to get good export files is to use a lossless codec, but unfortunately the files are huge and unmanageable.

That is correct. Nor in any other version.
