PE 2021 Auto Analyzer wont start

Hi, I have a very simple MP4 that I wanted to try "Smart Tone" on.  when I click on it, a popup says "Starting Auto Analyzer", but nothing happens after that.  I checked Task Manager, and it doesn't seem to see any new process or additional load on the processor.

... I've never used it before, so I don't know if it has always been this way...

Any ideas?

Where did this MP4 come from? And how long is it?

If the auto analyzer isn't working on any video, no matter how short or what the format or resolution, you should uninstall and reinstall the program.

I reinstalled it.  No luck.

Can you get more specific about the source of the video? "My camera" doesn't tell us much about the video specs or source.
