Premier Elements 11

I have moved from Windows 8 to iMac .

We have added Elements 11 to our iMac but when trying to use it the mac constantly is hanging or showing us the small rainbow wheel

and does not allow us to work in Layers or other aplications in this Elements 11 software

waiting for an answer after 60 mins onto Adobe in chat
