Hi,

I have PE 15 where I can burn my project with menues directly to a Blu-ray disc or as a ISO disc image file.

I have watched Steve Grisetti YouTube Basic Training for Adobe Premiere Elements 2022 tutorial part 8 where he demonstrated how to publish a project to social media but not to a disc. There is a disc icon in PE 2022 which suggests that it is possible to burn a project directly to a disc or as a a ISO disc image file as I do in PE 15. But I am not 100% sure that it is the case.

Steve, please let me and other PE users know if the disc option is activated in PE 2022.

Thanks. Lev.

Since I use PE 15 for a project final touch up: adding a menu and burn project, created in PE 2022 on BD, I do not care much about disc creation option in any PE version since I know BD creation was removed in all versions after PE 15. As I said, I found PE 2022 a little bit more advanced in creation of a project than PE 15. Therefore I create an initial project in PE 2022. Is PE 2023 more advanced than PE 2023? In other words, would you recommend me to upgrade PE 2022 to PE 2023?

Version 2021 does what I want, so I can't give any direct comments on a later version

"would you recommend me to upgrade PE 2022 to PE 2023?"

A summary of new features is here:  https://www.adobe.com/products/premiere-elements/whats-new.html

One that is listed is, "Enjoy under-the-hood improvements that deliver up to 35% faster installation and launch times, and 45% smaller app size. "  To streamline the app, features that were not often used were removed.  On the other hand, there are more audio tracks included and there is a new mobile function.

Thank you Bill.

Does PE 2023 provide the same Social Media output: YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram?

Does PE 2023 provide a Social Media output in 4K? PE 2022 provides 4K output to TV and Computer only.

I shoot my videos in 4K but when I publish short episodes form my long travel videos on YouTube I have to downgrade them to HD format. See for example this video:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Exploring+the+best+of+Miami

It is OK, but is more impressive in original 4K format on a memory stick.

2023 Provides the same social media output choices.  There are no options for 4K.   There is a better way.   The direct outputs to social media can be inconsistent.  The media platform can make even small changes to their requirements and the connections will falter.

The better way is to output your video to your local disk, review it and then use the media platform's uploader.  Besides the review, there are fewer opportunities for Internet glitches and you can continue using Premiere Elements because the uploading is in the background.   In the end, it is probably faster, more efficient and you can upload 4K.

So Adobe eliminated a Blu-Ray option (creation of ISO image or burn directly to BD) in PE higher than version 15 but kept DVD option  (creation of ISO image or burn directly to DVD) but in in PE 2023 Adobe eliminated DVD too.

It means that PE also eliminated menu option. It all makes PE much less desirable for many users but Adobe does care much about it.
