Premiere Elements 2022 crashing on Sonoma OS

I have used Premiere Elements 2022 successfully for the past 4 months. Since updating to Sonoma OS the program keeps crashing every time I drag the playhead or hit the play button on a new video I am trying to create. I've tried creating several new videos and the same thing happens. The weird thing is I can open my old videos in PE and play them just fine. Anybody know how to fix?

I upgraded to 2024 edition and seems to be working fine.
