This Bad software freezes all the time. If I save any project more then 40min it freezes. I have used Vista, Window xp 32bit and Window xp 64bit.
having the same issues with all. I called customer service and got a Indian that does not care. No wonder they have a 20$ rebate that I don't want now.
help help help

If you're looking for help, shaw, there's not much use in posting 45 posts into an 8 month old thread.
I recommend you start your own threads and post specific questions. Saying the software is bad that you called tech support and "got a Indian that does not care" doesn't really give us much to work with.

do you work with Adobe?if you do well here it is.
Installed Adobe Premiere elements 7 on Vista Ultimate
pc specs 2.6 Dual core , 6gig Ram 500gig drive, 512MB VGA Card
very fast pc.
when i load 1 hr 30min video, it loads fine.
when I add audio track it takes it.
when I try to save to my computer in MP4 after 30min is freeze's the pc.
so I tried this 5 times still no luck
then I install the software on XP PRO 32bit and XP PRO 64 bit
both pc dual core with 4gig ram
after 30min of saving to MP4 it freezes.
I called ADOBE tech support and there was no help.
I guess i just return this dame software to Costco and get my money back

With most Adobe products, there is a 30-day, money-back guarantee. I believe that PE is has the same guarantee. Costco is also very good at standing behind the products that they sell.
Now, when an Adobe programs fails, it's usually one of the following:
1.) System (you seem to have possibly ruled this out, by trying on two totally different machines, but much can be caused by other programs, etc. This can also be due to out of date drivers, or an older copy of Apple QuickTime.) Tell us all about your computer, especially the I/O sub-system (HDD's, their size, free space, controller type and how each is utilized on your system).
2.) Assets (what are you using, and please give the full specs. of all AV files and still images)
3.) Project (which Project Presets did you use, and do they match your AV Assets?)
With all info, someone might be able to see a problem.
No one here works for Adobe. We are all just users trying to help other users.
Good luck,
Hunt

For the "freezing" of the PC, see this ARTICLE and please report what Event Viewer tells you. If the PC freezes, there should be plenty of warning and error messages to track down.
Good luck,

And, as I said two weeks ago, you're now over 100 posts down in a very old, unrelated thread.
Are you sure you want to continue this discussion here?

I got Adobe Premiere elements 7, about a month ago, to post-produce AVCHD from my Cannon HF-S100. I loaded it onto my laptop and desktop computer. Neither worked, but they were both old.
I bought a new PC a few weeks back, and loaded Premiere on it. It's an Intel i7 quad core with 500 GB HD and 8GB DDR3 Ram. Top of the line right now.
I went to edit my first video with Premiere. Cut two clips from my camera and clicked on the translation widget in the timeline view and Adobe Premiere froze up. I had time enough to search for this website, register and respond. And guess what Premiere is still frozen.
I see tons of the same problems listed on this forum, but no resolutions. Maybe Adobe should say don't waste your time and money on our product because it wont work. Or they could just refund my money.
PS - I am using WIndows Vista 64-Bit OS, if that helps anyone.

hd, as we've said several times in this thread, this topic is nearly a year old and has 120 posts. No replies will be posted if you post to this thread.
Please begin your own thread and someone will respond to your post soon.
If, on the other hand, you have a comment or complaint and don't really want help, that is available too. We have a sub-forum here now called No Response Needed Posts, and I'll be happy to move your post to it.
And you should be able to get your money back from whoever you bought the software from if you are truly unhappy and don't believe that adjustments to your system or video will fix your problems. We on this forum do not work for Adobe, however, and we can not refund your money.
