Recently bought a new computer. Where my photos live now has a different Drive name than before. Evidently all links are broken. Is there an easy way to fix all my movies made on the old computer? The folder names are the same, just the Drive letter changed from I to D.

When you first open a project, you'll be prompted to locate one of the clips. Browse to it and the program will automatically re-link every clip in that directory folder to your movie. You'll need to do this for every media clip that's in a different directory folder -- but then when you save your project, everything will be re-linked. Unless you've got hundreds of media clips in dozens of different locations, it should only take a minute or two.
There's no easier way to make it happen that I'm aware of.

Was "I" an external drive? If so, on the new computer you can use the operating system to rename "D" back to "I". Then everything should work. Google search for change external drive name in Windows.

I was internal. When I got the new computer the repair guy named the new location D.

You have to keep the "C" as the primary. But, internal or external, additional drives can be renamed using the operating system.

Is there a simple way to reestablish links to pictures I have in my video? I purchased a new computer, the old drive was I and the new drive is D, this has caused none of the pictures to work in my videos made on the old computer. You can go into each one, click Project Assets, find the file name you want, right click, replace footage, but to do that on each and every picture is quite tedious.
Any other suggestions?

Use the operating system to change the drive name back to "I". If a PC with Windows, see here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/disk-management/change-a-drive-letter

That's an interesting solution, Bill! And it might work. But if it doesn't, there's no alternative except to manually re-link the files as I described above.

Steve,
It works in Lightroom Classic and is frequently used when someone runs out of space on their external and has to buy a new bigger one. The user plugs in both old and new then does a direct copy followed by the name change. As long as the file name structure is perfectly identical, it works.
