Saving a section from the middle of a video

Hi. I want to take a section from the middle of a video and save it for later use separately from the video it came from. I can highlight the section using the scissors but can't find a way of saving it - is this possible in Elements 2022? Can't find a tutorial video to help - they all seem to focus on deleting such clips rather than saving them.

You can save this section as a movie file or

delete all other clips and save under a different project name.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-DDRqM4Jbc output part of a timeline to a file

Output a segment... grab left/right work area indicators at top and drag to needed locations
Instead use Alt [ and Alt ] on keyboard to set in/out points of the work area bar
Must 1st click w/mouse to select the left and/or right locations
Zoom in as needed to fine tune the selection
Share/export and select Devices--Computer and a preset and the Format
Select Share work area bar only... then name the output file and 'do it'

After deleting the parts of the video you don't want to keep, use the
export command
