Scores property window does not open

Explorer ,
Apr 05, 2025 Apr 05, 2025

Premiere Elements 2025 on windows 11. In most cases placing a scores music file does not open the property window. (In some cases it does). According to the multipix guide to adobe premiere elements 2025 "The Score Property panel can be re-opened at any time by double-clicking on the music clip on your timeline". This does not work as double clicking opens the waveforms in a large screen. RIght clicking on the audio clip in the timeline does give a menu selection but does not include opening the score property panel.

Things I have done: 1) Restarted Elements 2025,  2) Rebooting the computer to restart Elements 2025,  3) Restarted Elements 2025 using ctrl + shift to reset all settings upon restart,  4) Uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere Elements 2025. None successful in clearing up the problem.

Further info: the music file 'Aura' always opens the property window. The file 'Back Home with my Family' never opens the property window. (As does others don't). I can say upon placing 'Back Home with my Family' score on an audio track, for a split second I can see a window open and disappear. It also does not make a difference if I use audio track 1, 2, or 3.... same results. Using the  ctrl, alt, or shift key to place the score makes no difference. (Grasping at straws here).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Barry

I just discovered that the remix tool will allow me to change the length of music to fit the video length. That problem.... solved. (Intensity cannot be changed though).

Another weird occurance: When I place 'Aura' score on an audio track (this is the one where the property panel always does appear) there are no waveforms. When I place 'Back Home with my Family' score on an audio track (the score where the property panel never appears), I do get the waveform.

Again... any thoughts as to why this happens. (BTW: which track I use does not make a difference here either as I have moved the scores back and forth to different audio tracks.

Thanks, Barry

Known bugs: cannot change intensity (no popup) and no waveform.

Well, I discovered more information.  When selecting 'add audio to the soundtrack' on the left side and if you select 'Music Score - Show All' drop down near the top, one gets three choices 1) Music Score, 2) Sound Effects, and 3) Audio tracks. The third choice of Audio tracks do not support the score property panel, so the observations I made above are correct. The window for score propeties is not suppose to open, but they can be adusted with the remix tool..

As far as the waveforms are concerned it appears all the Music Scores do not display a waveform while all the audio tracks do display a waveform.

So what I observed appears to be normal behavior and not a bug.

Your observation might look right to you but that does not it is the correct behavior.

All audio, regardless of what kind of audio it is should show a waveform.

Music Scores should provide a pop up to change the intensity after putting it on the timeline.

Ann,
I absolutely agree with you, *especially* with the waveform... but
apparently Adobe programmed the behavior I described above. This is
confirmed by Griesetti's Multipix Guide to Adobe Premiere Elements 2025.
In agreement: Barry

Well I do not agree. Should work as I describe it. Otherwise, it's half backed.
